Following an investigation by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) several airlines have committed to undertakings to include debit and credit card charges in headline prices rather than appearing only at the end of a booking process as an additional charge. The undertakings came after the airlines did not take voluntary action following the investigation.
The Government is considering proposing a new law that would make the inclusion of card charges in headline prices a condition across all industries.
